Funeral services for Mike Temples of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Davis Street Baptist Church at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 13, 2010, with Brother Allen Tilley, Brother Andy Comer and Brother Tommy Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Shooks Chapel Cemetery, with Gerald Heard, Ray Grimes, Jimmy Winfrey, Eugene Clark, Edward Moore and Jimmy Daughtery serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Temple Trailers Sales. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mike Temples passed away at his residence Thursday morning, May 10, 2012. He was born in Hopkins County on December 22, 1943, the son of William Howard Temples and Lillian Ruth (Brumley) Temples. He married Judy Campbell in Sulphur Springs on July 28, 1967; she survives. He was the owner of Temples Trailer Sales, having started the business on December 1, 1968. He was a member of Davis Street Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: son, Larry Jay Temples and wife, Nancy; two daughters, Lisa Millsap and husband, Brad and Lana Schulz and husband Rusty, all of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Lacy Bloom and husband, David, Colby Temples, all of Denton; Harlee Schulz, Hanna Schulz, Hattie Schulz, Gavin Millsap, Maddie Millsap, Mayer Millsap and Gunner Millsap and great-grandson, Landry Bloom; father-in-law, A. J. Campbell and mother-in-law, Era Mel Campbell, all of Sulphur Springs.
Memorials may be made to the Davis Street Baptist Church Expansion Fund.
