Michael Hamock, age 81 of Sulphur Springs passed away at his residence, Friday evening, October 25, 2013. He was born in Sudan, Texas on February 18, 1932, the son of John W. Hammock and Lillie Pearl (Stephenson) Hammock. He married Bettie Graves in Las Vegas on March 16, 1986; she survives. He was a machinist at Angeles Can Machine Company and a member of the Baptist faith. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Other survivors include: two sons, Matthew Hammock and wife Leanne of Hawaii and Michael Hammock, Jr. of California; stepchildren, Nancy Bevins and husband Charles, Jane Heinrich and Alan Heinrich; grandchildren, Amanda Barr, Charlotte Bevins, Kelsey Bevins, Matthew Johnson, Kelly Hammock, Tyler Hammock, Carolena Hammock, Gabrella Hammock, Collin McFadden, Kellie Heinrich, Scott Heinrich and Jenna Corry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters and grandchild, C. J. Bevins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
