Micah Reed

Funeral services for Micah Lyn Reed, age 12 of Sulphur Springs will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2015 at The Way Bible Church with Dr. Joel Tiemeyer, Rachel Draper and Tag Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with Cubby Wilson, Chris Pryor, Casey Griffith, Blake Chester, Mackey Maxwell and Kohlson Ivey serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Sulphur Springs Class of 2021 and the staff and friends at Children's Medical Center Dallas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Micah passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Children's Medical Center in Dallas after a courageous battle with Leukemia. He was born on December 6, 2002 in Sulphur Springs, the son of Brian Christopher and Sandy Lyn (Cavanaugh) Reed. He was a 7th grader at Sulphur Springs Middle School and he attended The Way Bible Church.

He is survived by his parents; brother, Jacob Ryan Reed of Sulphur Springs; grandparents, Mark and Brenda Reed of Sulphur Springs and Danny and Barbara Cavanaugh of Sulphur Springs; great-grandparent, Marvin "Doc" Reed of Sulphur Springs; special friends, Dr. Wilson File and Jamaal Perry and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
