A funeral service for Max Duane Belvin, age 78 of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Murray-Orwosky Chapel with Rev. Chad Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in the Providence Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with John Bailey, Tony Davee, Kent Coker, Don Bailey, Calvin Fleming and Ed Gentry serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be one hour before the service at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Max Duane Belvin passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Rock Creek Health and Rehab. He was born in Pebsworth, OK on June 16, 1935 the son of Dewey and Gladys Madding Belvin. He married Naomi Kay Moore in Lake Jackson, TX on May 23, 1980. He was a retired chemical plant operator and she was a member of Lake Highlands Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Kay Belvin of Sulphur Springs; daughters, Kathy Bailey and husband, John of Houston, Brenda Davee and husband, Tony of Austin, and Jan Coker and husband, Kent of Eustace; grandchildren, Kristen and Mike Marquardt, Kevin Bailey, Kim and Ben Hadaway, Jared and Amy Davee, Daniel and Aurora Cokerland and Peter and Amber Coker; great-grandchildren, Bailey Marquardt and Penny Davee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Duane Belvin and grandson, Andrew Coker.
