Mattie Kenney

Funeral services for Mattie R. Kenney, age 80, of Grand Prairie, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Seymore Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Seymore Cemetery, with members of Ms. Kenney's family serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (2:00 p.m.).
Mattie R, Kenney passed away Tuesday night, February 28, 2012 at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. She was born in Sulphur Springs on February 27, 1932, the daughter of William Leon Robnett and Gladys (Beesinger) Robnett. She married Loran Elvoy Kennedy in Dallas on June 17, 1950. He preceded her in death in 2008. She was a an artist/art teacher and she was a recognized artist with the A.A.C. She was a member of Church of Christ.
Survivors include: son, David Kenney of Delta, Utah; daughter, Karen Kay Kenney of Grand Prairie; two sisters, Sammie Petross of Sulphur Springs and JoAnn Robnett of Roswell, New Mexico; granddaughter, Jessica Marie Kelly; grandson, Michael Robert (Mickey) Kelly, II and one great-grandson. She was also preceded in death by brother, Alan Robnett and sister, Frances Adcock.
