A memorial service for Matthew Scott Kramer will be conducted at First United Methodist Church at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2013, with Rev. Pete Adrian and Rev. Debbie Riggsby officiating. No formal visitation is scheduled.
Matthew Scott Kramer passed away in Arapahoe County, Colorado on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. He was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on September 14, 1982, the son of John and Susy Kramer. He was studying culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University and was an entry level chef at the Inverness Hotel in Englewood, Colorado. He played baritone and tuba throughout high school and was active in Boy Scouts, attended the National Jamboree and trekked Philmont Boys Ranch. He also achieved the Order of the Arrow and the rank of Eagle Scout. Survivors include: son, Andrew Jacob Kramer of Sulphur Springs; two brothers, Jeffrey Kramer and wife Heather of Washington, D.C. and Stephen Kramer of Oklahoma City; sister, Sarah Kramer of Sulphur Springs and grandparents, Bob and Arminta Bower of Overland Park, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stan and Dorothy Kramer.
Having loved the mountains and being outdoors, he is being cremated and his ashes will be scattered in the Rocky Mountains.
Memorials may be made to the Jacob Kramer education fund at Guaranty Bond bank.
