Funeral services for Mary Jo Tullis, age 63, of Quitman will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 6, 2010, with Rev. Lynn Redford and Rev. Robert Stovall officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery, with Shannon Davis, Steve Bowser, Shane Rose, Shorty Rios, Charles Starrett and Billy Jenkins serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Goob Fite, B. J. Starrett, L. J. Sells, Andrew "Rabbit" Bussell, Don Bussell and Frank Starrett. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mary Jo Tullis passed away Thursday afternoon, June 3, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on March 22, 1947, the daughter of Robert Lewis Brown and Mary Elizabeth (Meddley) Brown. She married Robert Bruce Tullis in Wood County on February 11, 2010; he survives. Mrs. Tullis was an inspector for an aircraft manufacturer and a member of Church of Christ.
Other survivors include: two sons, James Merle Williams, Jr. and wife, Tina, of Emory and Tommy Joe Williams and wife, Shawna, of Keller; mother, Mary Judd of Temple, Oklahoma; six sisters, Joyce Adams and husband, Donald, of Temple, Oklahoma; Jean Follar of Wavrika, Oklahoma; Judy Allensworth and husband, Jim, of Iowa Park, Betty Quint of Richland Hills, Barbara Heath and husband, Robert, of Fort Worth, Jo Ann Munns and husband, Richard, of Athens and three grandchildren, Felecia Williams, Teia Williams and Chris Williams. She was preceded in death by her father.
