Martha White Penton

A private graveside service for Martha White Penton, age 79, of Henderson, Nevada will be held and directed by Rev. CJ Duffey at Restlawn Memorial Park with Don White, J.C. White, John Coleman, Brandon White, Josh Goodman, Joey Goodman, Richard Abernethy serving as honorary pallbearers.  Mrs. Penton passed away April 7, 2020 at Wesley Oaks Memory Care in Sulphur Springs, TX. Visitation is 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Thursday April 9,2020.

Martha White Penton was born January 28, 1941 in Arbala, TX to Eldon White and Wilma (Formby) White. She married Lon A. Penton on July 20, 1968 and were married for 51 years. She graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a Master’s Degree in Education and was a elementary school teacher for 25 years. She was a member and former pianist of Davis Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Lon A. Penton, of Henderson, NV; sisters, Linda Abernethy of Frisco, TX, Carolyn Permenter, Kathy Hudson, Teresa Weatherford; and brother, Gerald White, all of Sulphur Springs.

Martha White Penton was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Charles White and Billy Don White.
