Funeral services for Marilyn McQueen, age 72, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rick Richardson officiating and Rev. Samuel Glenn assisting. Interment will follow at Peerless Cemetery with Mackey Joe Fouse, Billy McQueen, Spencer McQueen, Terry Don Speed, Danny DeVaun and Dustin Speed serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Marilyn passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Rock Creek Health & Rehab, Sulphur Springs, TX. She was born on October 13, 1944, in Pickton, the daughter of Guy Parnell and Bertha (Johnson) Parnell. She married Mack Allen McQueen on June 17, 1962 in Cooper, Texas. She was a member of The First Assembly of God, Cooper, TX and retired from the Texas Parks & Wildlife.

She is survived by her husband, Mack McQueen; daughter Linda Wilemon and husband Ray; son, Brent McQueen and wife Lori; grandchildren Megan Whitaker and husband Rickey, Bryce McQueen; brother, John Parnell and sister, Nola DeVaun.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Martha Norrid, Billie Speed, Peggy Palmer; brother, Wayne Parnell.
