Funeral services for Marie "Boogie" Aguilar, age 78, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at Quinlan Funeral Home Chapel, at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2009, with Dan Aguilar officiating. Interment will follow at West Memorial Cemetery in Quinlan. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 1, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Marie "Boogie" Aguilar passed away at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital, Tuesday morning, December 30, 2008. She was born in Quinlan, on March 27, 1930, the daughter of Alex and Ollie McDaniel Watson. She was married to Roy P. Aguilar for 60 years; he survives. Mrs. Aguilar was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Linda Chichester of Temple and Laura Omernik of Madison, Wisconsin; three sons, Dan Aguilar of Palm City, Florida, David Aguilar and Paul Aguilar, both of Sulphur Springs; two brothers, David Harrell of Warrior, Alabama and Gerald Harrell of Shamong, New Jersey; grandchildren, Jeremy Chichester, Erin Chichester, Christopher Aguilar, Courtney Aguilar, Parker Aguilar, Alex Aguilar and Ciara Omernik and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
