Marguerite Potts

A funeral service for Marguerite Potts, age 85, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Quinton Suttle, Don High, Huck McCormick, Paul Lane, Michael Bumgardner, Matthew DeSmet and Kerry Potts serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00 a.m.), Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Marguerite Potts passed away at Carriage house Manor Thursday afternoon, November 14, 2013. She was born in Rains County, September 21, 1928, the daughter of William Theodore Powell and Susie Viola (Barrett) Powell. She married Lawrence Potts in Rains County, September 18, 1946. He preceded her in death in 2000. She was a homemaker and she was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: son, Jerry Potts and wife Linda of Sulphur Springs; three sisters, Oleta Gowin of Sulphur Springs, Betty Bumgardner of Iowa Park and Carolyn High of Belton; grandchildren, Kerry Potts and Kristin, Kathy DeSmet and Matt; great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Kate Potts and Addison and Cooper DeSmet. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Colleen Senter, Doris Smith and Patty Lane. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
