Marcie Kerby

Funeral services for Marcie Kerby, age 49, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at New Beginnings Fellowship Church, at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 27, 2008 with Pastor Bruce Taylor, Brother Paul Pogue, Pastor Kenneth Ishmael, Pastor Clyde Warner, Pastor Lee Sheldt, Brother Randall Shelton, and Pastor Mark Gamber. Interment will follow at Reilly Springs Cemetery, with Randall Shelton, Cody Shelton, Travis Shelton, Eddie Kerby, Rick Avent and Gordon Frazier serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 26, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Marcie Kerby passed away at her residence, Tuesday afternoon, September 23, 2008. She was born in Greenville, on August 4, 1959, the daughter of Lawrence Echols and Alleta Rose White Lumpkin. She married Jonathan Lynn Kerby, on March 31, 1978, in Sulphur Springs; he survives. Mrs. Kerby was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God Church.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Jennifer Lindsey Kerby Riley of San Antonio, Jaclyn Leigh Kerby and Laurel Megan Elizabeth Kerby; son, Jonathan David Kerby, all of Sulphur Springs; sister, Karen Culbertson of Cumby; brother, Lawrence Robert Lumpkin of Commerce; grandchildren Aiden and Isaac Riley of San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Dawn Shelton.
