Mamie Wright

A funeral service for Mamie Wright, age 78, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2013, with Sonny Pennington officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Josh Alexander, Chris Follis, Tracy Johnson, James Brown and Gerald Felden serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Mamie Wright passed away Thursday morning, July 18, 2013 at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. She was born in Hopkins County on November 19, 1934, the daughter of J. J. "Jess" Wright and Gena (Jenkins) Wright. She was a retired claims adjuster for Krum and Forster Insurance Company in Dallas and a member of Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Gary McKinnon of Sulphur Springs and Ricky Vicks and wife, Marlanea of Saltillo and grandchildren, Landon Lane, Dayton Lane and Dillon Lane. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Donnie Swaney, Stessell Ogles, Estelle Kirchman and Laverne Wright and brother, James "Jaybird" Wright.
