Mamie Morgan

Mamie Lee "Boots" Morgan, 77, of Cumby, Texas, passed away at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas on November 3, 2013. She was born in Chicota, Lamar County Texas, October 7, 1936, the daughter of Doyle Sidney and Letia Mae Melton Fowler. She married Don Wendell Morgan in Morton, Texas, June 30, 1956. He survives.
Mrs. Morgan was retired from the US Postal Service. She was also a founding member of Cornerstone Church in Cumby.
She is also survived by a son Michael Don Morgan and his wife Angela, three grandchildren: Alyssa, Erin and Kaelyn Morgan all of Cumby. A sister, Peggy Ann Cook-Clark and her husband Edward also of Cumby; two brothers, Doyle Ray Fowler and his wife Linda; and Billy James (Jay) Fowler and his wife Joyce all of Lubbock, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Service and Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Cornerstone Church in Cumby. The Memorial Service will begin at 10 am with a time of reflection and visitation. Brother Richard Deteau will give a eulogy at 11 am and Brother Jim Moore will give a eulogy at 1 pm. The family will continue to accept visitors until 2 pm.
