Lucy Lackey

Graveside funeral services for Lucy Lackey, age 92, of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at Rockdale Cemetery. Bro. Ronny Stinson will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6:00 t0 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 25, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lackey passed away, Saturday, February 23, 2008, at East Texas Medical Center, in Mt. Vernon. She was born on August 24, 1915, in Alexandria, Louisiana, the daughter of Onery and Cynthro Lawrence McBride. She married Silas G. Lackey, on December 9, 1954, in Rockwall, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1975.

Mrs. Lackey was a nurse aid and a member of the Sulphur Springs Church of God.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Ronnie Parris, of Sulphur Springs; two granddaughters, Lisa Gessman of Sulphur Springs, and Mistie Davison of Saltillo; and two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Bianca Davison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Gracie Vickers.
