Lucille George

A funeral service for Lucille George, age 72, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Paul Pogue and Rev. John Pangle officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Michael Salazar, Tra George, Jason Beaver , Chuck Marzek, Jeremy Griffin and Ricky Denson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Gentry and Tanner Gilbreath. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Lucille George passed away at Sulphur Springs Health & Rehab., Sunday, October 7, 2012. She was born in Childress, on July 10, 1940, the daughter of Benjamin Cannon and Beulah (Jackson) Cannon. She married Jimmy Alfred George in Hugo, Oklahoma on July 12, 1957. He preceded her in death in 2002. She was retired from Southern Optical and a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Rhonda Gentry and husband, David, of Dallas and Diane Busby; son, Jimmy George, Jr., both of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Amber Busby, Tra George, Brinni Gentry, Tanner Gilbreath, Maddi Gentry and Carlye George and great-grandchildren, Cassidy and Callie. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Winfred Craig, Tommy Jones, Floyd Cannon and Robert Cannon. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
