Lorene Corley

Funeral Services for Lorene Corley, age 82 of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Blackmon officiating. Interment will follow at Mahoney Cemetery with Randal Voss, Eric Voss, C.R. McPherson, Jr., Sim Lucas, David Blackmon and Jerry Voss serving as pallbearers. There will be no formal visitation.

Lorene passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman. She was a retired bookkeeper for UT Southwestern Medical Center and was of the Methodist faith.

She was born on March 4, 1933, the daughter of Sim and Gaynell (Dodd) Blackmon in Mahoney. She married Jimmy Corley, Sr. on November 25, 1952 in Fairlee. He preceded her in death in 2005.

Survivors include son, Jimmy Corley, Jr. of Greenville; daughter, Charlotte Gay Corley Voss of Leonard; grandchildren, Cory Wreyford and Tyler Voss; four great-grandchildren and sister, Muriel Lucas.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ehrle Blackmon and Morgan Blackmon and sister, Christene McPherson.
