Leonard Stout

Funeral Services for Leonard Stout, age 67 of Sulphur Springs will be held Friday, May 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Wheat and Rev. B. J. Teer officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Robert Stidham, Norman Colyer, Bill Reese, Butch Adams, Monte Tipps, Jason Ricketson, Seth Stout and Tyler Stout serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Lake Highlands Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Leonard passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. He was born on February 24, 1949 in Plainview the son of Max and Bobbie (Barker) Stout. He married Donna Sue Carpenter on December 22 in Como. He was a retired police officer, Deacon at Lake Highlands Baptist Church and 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Tanya Nelson and husband, Shorty of Sulphur Springs; son, Robert Stout and wife, Tina of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Leslie Bryant and husband, Tom, Lesa Smith and husband, Brody, Matthew Nelson, Seth Stout and Tyler Stout; great-grandchildren, Carson and Avery Kate Bryant; sister-in-law, Teresa Morton and husband, Rickey; cousin, Georgia Buffington and husband, Roger and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Stout.
