Military graveside services for Leo Yankey will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Rockdale cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Hall officiating.
There will be no formal visitation.
Mr. Yankey was a member of the Baptist faith, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and served in the U S Army during WW II. He was retired from Metzer Dairy Company.
Mr. Yankey passed away at 5:40 p.m. Friday in the Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 25, 1918 in Sulphur Springs to Everett and Onie Lee Jacobs Yankey. He married Leona Alta Wade on Oct. 20, 1942 in Dallas. She survives. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Memorials can be made to the Hopkins county military coalition and the Rockdale Cemetery Association.
