Leland Alcorn

Graveside service for Leland “Lanie” Alcorn, age 82 of Yantis, TX will be held at 11:00A.M. on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Yantis Cemetery with David Hamm officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Tanner Alcorn, Beau Alcorn, Chris Alcorn, Phillip Alcorn, Kai Alcorn and Phoenix Alcorn. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. Alcorn passed away on March 8, 2022 at Hunt Regional.

Leland was born on December 11, 1939 in Yantis, TX to V.T. and Mable (Glenn) Alcorn. He married Mary Richardson on October 3, 1958. Lanie worked as a dairy farmer and construction engineer. He was a member of the Yantis Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, Anthony Alcorn and wife, Zena and David Alcorn and wife, Daysha; grandchildren, Beau Alcorn and wife, Cassidy, Tanner Alcorn and wife, Samantha, Kai Alcorn and Phoenix Alcorn; great grandchildren, Delayni, Addison, Jackalyn, Braxton, Harlee, Carlee, Riggin and Huxtyn; brother, Willie Alcorn and sister, Betty Caudle.

Lanie was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, W.D. Alcorn, Nathan Alcorn, Roy Alcorn, Thurman Alcorn and Jimmy Alcorn.
