Funeral services for Larry Mills, age 61, of Little Elm and formerly of Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2008, at Button Memorial Methodist Church, in Little Elm. Rev. Denise Peckham and Rev. John Gowling will officiate.
A graveside service will follow in Hopkins County, at Shooks Chapel Cemetery, at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2008, with Brandon Harrell, Jacob Truitt, Brandon Wallace, Ronnie Milles, Troy C-debaca, and Louis Lavecchia serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ali Rupani, Deece Lee Wallace, Dal Wayne Randall, Randy Thompson, David Paul Kirkland, and Gustavo Sanchez.
Visitation will be from 6:00 t0 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Button Memorial United Methodist Church, in Little Elm.
After and amazing, courageous battle with cancer, for two years, Mr. Mills passed away on Sunday evening, April 27, 2008, at Denton Presbyterian Hospital. He was born in Mason, Tx, on March 16, 1947, the son of Henry Lee and Georgia Elizabeth McKelvain Mills. He married Rosemary Wilson Adams, in Denton, on May 15, 2004. She survives.
Mr. Mills owned a car dealership. He was a member of Button Memorial United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include: a daughter, Lisa Harrell Sanchez, of The Colony; two sons, Larry Allen Mills of Denton, and Shane Mills of Little Elm; two brothers, Dal Mills and Ronnie Mills, both of Brownwood; two sisters, Sue Bullard of Eastland and Rhonda Wallace of Brownwood; and grandchildren, Brandon Harrell, Caitlin Harrell, Breanna Mills, Henry Kirkland, Ryan Ward, Linda Ward, Ivy Fite, Nash Truitt, and Jacob Truitt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister.
