Funeral services for Larry Gale Johnson, age 71, of Anna, Texas will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2012 with Pastor Jason Norton officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery, with James Parmer, Jason Parmer, Justin Parmer, Bobby Holland, Mike Boone and James Pengram serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Larry Gale Johnson passed away Wednesday morning, June 20, 2012 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Sherman. He was born in Stamford on June 17, 1941, the son of Donnie Gale Johnson and Claudie Mae (Davis) Johnson. He married Billie M. Prickett at Stamford on August 19, 1960; she survives. He was a mechanic and a member of Assembly of God Church.
Other survivors include: two sons, Ricky Johnson of Houston and Gerald Dee Johnson of Anna; daughter, Lynnetta Gail Mann and husband, Bobby, of Temple; grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, Jeremy Askew, Ashley Askew, Cassie Askew, Brian Johnson and Alyssa Johnson and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Lee Johnson and sister, Edna Earl Johnson.
