Funeral services for Keith Coates, age 37, of Arlington, formerly of Hopkins County, will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Black Oak Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Boyte officiating. Interment will follow in the Black Oak Cemetery. No formal visitation.
Walter Keith Coats passed away Friday afternoon, November 7, 2008, at Dallas Methodist Hospital. He was born on May 13, 1971 in Arlington, TX, the son of Ted John and Margaret Moody Coates. He married Tiffany Thomason. She survives.
Other survivors include; his mother, Margaret Coates of Quitman; two sons, Kenny Coates of Arlington, and Clay Coates of Arlington; five brothers, Buddy Ray Coates of Quitman, John Robert Coates of Como, George Macon "Rip" Coates of Arlington, Tommy Coates of Arlington, and Ted Bryan Coates of Arlington; one sister, Marcia Bradshaw of Arlington; grandmother, Polly Moody of Quitman.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother Charles David Coates.
