Kathryn Orren

A graveside service for Kathryn Orren, age 89, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at Stouts Creek Cemetery, with Rev. Fred Lewis and Rev. Jordan Ramey officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Kathryn Orren passed away Monday night, October 1, 2012 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home. She was born in Saltillo on May 21, 1923, the daughter of Herbert Avaritt and Verona (Dickerson) Avaritt. She married Joe W. Orren, Sr. in Mt. Vernon on June 10, 1942. He preceded her in death. She was a retired seamstress for H. D. Lee Company and a member of First Baptist Church since 1965.
Survivors include: three daughters, Kathy Alexander and husband, Tommy, of Henderson, June Johnston of Emory and Glenna Yates and husband, Rick, of Allen; two sons, Joe Orren, Jr. and wife, Rhonda, of Sulphur Springs and Milton Orren and wife, Jennifer, of Longview; two sisters, Shirley Moore of Greenville and Rosemary Avaritt of Edmond, Oklahoma; brother, Frank Avaritt of Garland; grandchildren, Kristy Alexander Everitt, Todd Alexander, Erin Johnston Garcia, Jordan Ramey, Jared Ramey, Jace Orren, Emily Orren, Clark Orren, Evan Orren and Olivia Orren and great-grandchildren, Collin Everitt, Abbey Everitt, Madalynn Alexander, Cason Garcia and Cohen Garcia. She was preceded in death by infant son, Will Orren and sisters, Frances Avaritt and Cinda Patrick. Memorials may be made to Stouts Creek Cemetery Association, 572 CR 3536, Saltillo, Texas 75478.
