Kathlyne Massey

A graveside service for Kathlyne Massey, age 92, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 1, 2012, at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 1, 2012 , at Restlawn Memorial Park.
Kathlyne Massey passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Carriage House Manor. She was born in Sulphur Springs on February 9, 1920, the daughter of Eligha Melton and Selma (Hooker) Melton. She married J. L. Massey in Sulphur Springs, on November 8, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1994. She was retired from the Department of the Army at the Pentagon and Lou Nell's Fashions and she was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: son, Brad Massey and wife, Holly, of Sulphur Springs; three sisters, Wanda Burton, Tommie Scott and husband, J. B., all of Dallas and Pansy Pullen and husband, Lolan, of California; grandchildren, Cara Thompson and husband, Geoff ,and Meredith Daniels and husband, Jim, and two great-grandchildren, Claire Grace Thompson and Maggie Louise Thompson. She was preceded in death by son, Gary Massey and brother, Joe Melton. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.
