Funeral services for Kathleen Gumpert , age 64, of Sulphur Springs will be 12:00 pm (Noon) on Monday, August 27 ,2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Baxley officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park with grandsons and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6 pm till 8 pm, Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Kathleen Gumpert passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Dubuis Hospital in Paris. She was born on July 11, 1948 in Sulphur Springs, TX, the daughter of L.T. and Doris Martin Hurley. She married Larry Gumpert in Red Oak on September 16, 1972. He preceded her in death in January, 2012. She was member of the Reilly Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include: sons, Brian Gumpert and wife Cheryl of Alto, and Clayton Scott Gumpert and wife, Sherolyn of Greenville; daughters, Angela K. Gumpert of Red Oak, and Doris Annette King and husband, Sean of Deming NM; brother, Len Hurley and wife, Alice of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Matthew & Ashley Vaughn, Sara & James Shotwell, Alex & Zoe King, Katelin, Kyle, Cole, and Clay Gumpert, and Tyler & Brianna Thompson; great grandchildren, Lillian Vaughn, Lucy Ann Shotwell, Abby Shotwell and Jami Gumpert.
She was preceded in death by her mother, husband, infant child and infant sister.
