Funeral services will be conducted for Juddie Malone, 97, of Sulphur Springs at East Caney Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 31, 2011, with Rev. Rudy Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at East Caney Cemetery, with grandsons, Cletus Malone, Jr., Michael Malone, Richard Hawkins, Gregory Hawkins, Ricky Malone, Tommy Malone, J. B. Malone, Jr., Antoine Williams and Van Malone, Jr. serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Nathan Ross, Alvin Franklin, Jr. John L. Franklin, Nora L Franklin and Eugene Franklin. A wake will be held at 6:00 p.m., and family visitation will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2011 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Juddie Malone passed away Sunday morning, December 25, 2011 at Sulphur Springs Health & Rehab. He was born in East Caney, October 19, 1914, the son of Zack Malone and Mollie (Williams) Malone. He married Fannie Mae Dial in Sulphur Springs, December, 1934. She preceded him in death in 1980. He was a retired construction worker and a member of East Caney Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three sons, Curtis Malone of Los Angeles, California, J. B. Malone and Van Malone, Sr. both of Ft. Worth; daughter, Iva Hawkins of San Antonio; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; five nephews and four nieces. He was preceded in death by two sons, Cletus Malone and Leroy Malone; four sisters; three brothers and one grandson, Edgar Hawkins.
