Joyce McPherson

Funeral service for Joyce E. McPherson, age 80, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 2:00P.M. Monday, May 31, 2021 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Chris Vickery officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Sterling Cemetery for a private family gathering with Peyton Vickery, Cody Vickery, Garret Vickery, Todd Johnson, Brandon Johnson, and Jackson Blount serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. McPherson passed on May 27, 2021 at Wesley House Memory Care.

Joyce was born on October 3, 1940 in Sulphur Springs, TX to Clovis and Vallie (Dodd) Stewart. She married Kenneth McPherson on May 8, 1981 in Sulphur Springs, TX. Joyce worked for Texas Power and Light before working for the Irving Police Department in the criminal investigation department.

She is survived by her children, Anna Hines, Jana Johnson and husband, Mike Mitchell, David Vickery and wife, DeAnna, Bobby Vickery and wife Carley, Tracy McPherson Story and Daria Cain; grandchildren, Todd Johnson and wife Christi, Brandon Johnson, Garret Vickery and wife, Lindsey, Peyton Vickery, Braely Vickery, Cody Vickery and Faith Vickery; great grandchildren, Ean Adams, Caleb Johnson, Madison Johnson, Everly Johnson, Brett Vickery, Stormy Johnson, Angel Johnson and Lyrie Johnson.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kevin McPherson, Mary Louise Clauch, Amy Adams and Robert Stewart.
