Joseph Tucker

January 15, 1945 — February 17, 2024

Sulphur Springs, Texas

On February 17th, 2024, Joseph Lyndon Tucker died in Sulphur Springs, TX of complications from pneumonia and heart disease. Born on January 15, 1945 in Corsicana, TX to Billy Joe and Edna Irene Tucker. Joe is survived by his children with first wife Jessie Tucker, Jolynn (Rich) Anderson, Jason (Alisa) Tucker, Jessica (Jon) Torolski, Jennifer Tucker and Jacqueline (Bryan) Biller, and Grandchildren Brody, Jacob, Walker, Kala, Jordan, Emery, and loving sisters Cynthia and Julia.

Joe loved his birth state and attended high school in Tyler, TX. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI.  He was a dedicated and driven manager in the railroad and automotive industries. He also lived in Georgia, PA and Michigan striving to make improvements in production control and raising a loving family of all redheads.

After retirement, he returned to Texas and married Linda Stembridge Tucker, who preceded him in death in 2017. He adored her sons Todd, Ray, and Greg. He enjoyed watching Dallas Cowboys football (even when they fumbled), reading, learning new things, making friends, and having a fun time with his boisterous charm. He challenged his five kids to be independent, loving, and gracious humans.  He will be missed.
