John Chubb

Memorial Services for John "Jack" Mason Chubb of Sulphur Springs will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Byrd officiating and Rev. Fred Lewis assisting. There will be no visitation.

Jack passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at his home in Sulphur Springs. He was born on November 3, 1932 in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania the son of Charles B. and Ruth (Mason) Chubb. He married Marhta A. "Sue" Kassl in Chicago, Illinois on February 6, 1954. Jack served in the US Navy, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and he worked in the education department for many years, retiring as principal of Sulphur Springs High School.

He is survived by his wife; son, Jack Chubb, Jr. and wife Denyse, of Wesley Chapel, FL; daughters, Patti Williamson and husband Rick, of Bartlett, and Diana Beverly and Betty Gooch both of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Matthew, Bryan and Tiffany Chubb; Heath, Bubba and Marissa Mikulec; Brittney and Brandon Williamson; Taysha Martin; Toyah and Tyanna Beverly; and Chance Gooch; great-grandchildren, Mason and Mattie Mikulec; Mariah Mikulec; Layton Anderson; Dawson and Milada Martin; Liani Chubb; and brother, Charles Chubb Jr. of Tennessee.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and David Chubb.
