Joe Conley

Funeral services for Joe Conley, age 76, of Sulphur Springs will be 2:00 pm, Monday, January 18, 2010 at Greenpond Baptist Church with Bro. Lloyd Cashion and Bro. Dale Ruggles officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenpond Cemetery with Roy Martinez, Marc Mitchell, Robert Dillon, Rickey Morgan, Don Daniel and Jim Potts serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 1:00 pm, Monday, January 18, 2010, (one hour before the service) at the church.

Joe Conley passed away Friday, January 15, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Leighton , Alabama on March 19, 1933, the son of Huston & Elizabeth Hennessee Conley . He married Odell Arnett on October 21, 1950 in Iuka, MS. She preceded him in death in 2007. He was a retired Dairy Farmer & long time deacon & member of Greenpond Baptist Church . Serving on various committees in the church.

Survivors include: three daughters, Carolyn Jones of Longview , Gloria Mitchell and Teresa Conley both of Sulphur Springs; four grandchildren, Gene Jones IV, Blake Morgan, Misti Dillon , Deidre Daniel; great grandchildren, Brooklyn Moon, and Cortney Dillon.

He was preceded in death by parents, granddaughter, Allison Morgan, and brother, Rev. Clyde Conley.

Memorial may be made to the expenses for G.W. ( Gary )Moon Family @ City National Bank in Sulphur Springs or the American Cancer Society.
