Joann Furguson

Memorial Service for Joann Furguson, age 71, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Kearby officiating. Interment will be held at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving, TX. Ms. Furguson passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 in Sulphur Springs.

Joann was born in Irving, Texas to Lemyel Edward Furguson and Connie Mae Furguson on March 18, 1946. She was a 1964 graduate of Irving High School in Irving, Texas. Joann worked for National Chemsearch Company in Irving for many years before beginning work at Custom Made Draperies. That business was started and owned by her Mother Connie Furguson. Joann worked side by side with her Mother until they closed the business in the 1990’s

She is survived by her brothers, Roy Furguson & wife, Tess of Cumby, Texas and George Furguson and wife, Aquilla of Flower Mound, Texas; nieces and nephews, Glenda Hickman of Cumby, Texas, Susan Furguson of McKinney, Texas, Diana Abbott of Princeton, Texas, Michael Furguson of Terrell, TX , Wendy Tabraham of Dubuque, IA, Jim Furguson of Lewisville, TX; numerous great nieces and nephews and several cousins.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents, Lemyel and Connie Furguson and a brother Richard N. Furguson.

The family wishes to thank Rock Creek Rehabilitation Center in Sulphur Springs for taking very good care of Joann over the last year.
