Jo Elizabeth Bradford was born September 27, 1938, to James Edwards Moore and Bertha Jane Stevens Moore in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She graduated from Sulphur Bluff High School and received an Associate's degree from Paris Junior College. She worked as a respiratory technician at several hospitals. Jo often worked multiple jobs to care for her three boys. She attended the First Baptist Church of Dike where she frequently volunteered with Vacation Bible School and other youth events. She later attended the Central Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs. She enjoyed horses and was a member of riding clubs. She often rode in drill team performances and parades. Jo was a talented cook and received awards for her homemade ice cream at the Sulphur Springs Ice Cream Freeze Off.
She is survived by sons, Mike McCoy, Tony McCoy and wife Sherrie; grandchildren, Shawn McCoy and wife Terri, Baden Shackleford and husband Jason, Randy McCoy and wife Whitnie, Angie Robb and husband Mike, Wendie Turner and husband Daniel, Andie McCoy-O’Neil and husband Mike, and twelve great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents James and Bertha Moore and son Danny McCoy.
