Jimmy Rushing

Funeral services for Jimmy Lee Rushing, age 66, of Como, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. L. D. Baxley officiating. Interment will follow at Old Union Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, with Weldon Fogle, Davis Jumper, Michael McCool, Bobby Rushing, Brian Rushing, Chancey Clifton, Dillon Clifton and Rowdy Hargett serving as pallbearers. C. W. Harris will serve as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 5, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Jimmy Lee Rushing passed away Sunday morning, October 4, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Pittsburg on February 28, 1943, the son of Claude Lee Rushing and Gussie Fae Rushing. Mr. Rushing was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: wife, Brenda Casper of Como; five daughters, Rita Santos of Grand Prairie, Angie Horton, Candy Rushing, Wendy Casper and Lisa Casper, all of Como; three sons, Dusty Rushing of Denton, James Rushing of The Woodlands and Chuck Clifton of Elkins, Arkansas; sister, Mary Therneau of Georgia; grandchildren, Samantha Irby, Amber Rushing, Megan Rushing, Chancey Clifton, Skye Hargett, Dillon Clifton, Rowdy Hargett and Alexandria Rushing and great-grandchildren Braxton Taylor Ford, Hazel Rushing, Triston Moore and Jaxson Irby. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bobby Rushing; sisters, Mae Strange, Fay Whitfield, Peggy Wilcox, Sylvia Rushing and Ruby Rushing.
