A memorial service for Jimmy Ray Robbins, age 78, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Novembr 9, 2013, with Jimmy Don Goldsmith officiating. No formal visitation is scheduled.
Jimmy Ray Robbins passed away Tuesday morning, November 5, 2013 at Sulphur Springs Health & Rehab. He was born in Bristow, Oklahoma on December 24, 1934, the son of Floyd Clifton Robbins and Mary Elizabeth (Clark) Robbins. He married Daralene Underwood in Sulphur Springs on September 11, 1954; she survives. He was retired from Robbins Upholstery and he was of the Church of Christ faith.
Other survivors include: son, Mike Robbins and wife Julia of Yantis; two daughters, Karen Hooks and Mitzi Hughes and husband J.R.; sister, Dorothy Eaton, all of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Brena Robbins and Shawn Long, Clif Robbins and Brandi, Kendall Robbins, Tim Hooks, Tony Hooks and Kim, Josh Peugh and Melissa, Marisha Moreland and Jonathan and great-grandchildren, Haylee Hooks, Zach Long, Mycaylah Hooks, Hayden Hooks,Hannah Sandlin, Payton Hooks, Brayden Moreland and Stella Moreland. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Louise Douglas and baby brother, Lee Leverne Robbins.
