Funeral services for Jimmy Dean Cannon, age 49, 0f Sulphur Springs, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 10, 2008, at New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church. Rev. Paul Pogue and Rev. Mark Speed will officiate.

Interment will follow services in the Brashear Cemetery, with Dean Mobley, Mike Comer, Stanley Aulsbrook, Mike Garner, and Gerald Killiam serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church Recovery Group.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2008, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Mr. Cannon passed away on Thursday morning, March 6, 2008, at his residence. He was born in Sulphur Springs, on January 19, 1959, the son of Ray and Mary King Cannon. He married Leslie Johnson, in Sulphur Springs, on December 1, 2006. She survives.

Mr. Cannon was a truck driver for Feeder Supply. He was a member of New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Stephanie Cannon and Amy McClure, both of Sulphur Springs; two sisters, Rae Jean Sprueill of Winnsboro and Mary Osborne of Louisiana; a brother, James Cannon; and grandchildren, Trevor McClure, Grayson McClure, Dequarian Wilderson and Dayton Wickerson.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Huckabee.

Memorials may be made to the New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church Recovery Group.
