A funeral service for Jimmy Don Allen, age 52, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2013, with Aaron Huddleston officiating. Interment will follow at Richland Cemetery, with Bryan Busby, Jr. Hinton, Blake Fisher, Kris Koon, Randy Koon, Steve Mitchell, Walt Gamblin and Mark McGahee serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2013 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Jimmy Don Allen passed away at his residence Friday evening, August 23, 2013. He was born in Sulphur Springs on March 27, 1961, the son of Billy Jack Allen and Roxie Joy (Cobb) Allen. He married Crystal Dawn Preiss in Weaver on September 26, 2003; she survives. He was the owner of Southern Milk Testing Company and a member of Seymore Church of Christ.
Other survivors include: four sons, Richard Allen and wife Angela, James Allen, all of Sulphur Springs, Colte McCorkle and wife Stephanie of Mineola and Connor McCorkle of Lewisville; his parents; two brothers, Robert Allen and wife Kathy of Combine and Bill Allen of Bryan; sister, Laura Burton and husband Tommy of Troup and grandchildren, Bailey Allen, Machelle Allen, Kyleigh Allen, Kyrsten Allen, Phoebe McCorkle and Enoch McCorkle. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, O. D. and Una Faye Allen and Henry O. and Lola Cobb.
