Jessmia Williams

Funeral services for Jessmia Williams, age 87, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2009, with Keith Kilmer officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with John Hooks, Rodney Clower, Toby Williams, Cale Kids, Eric Posey, Jimmy Horton, Marlin Jones and Randy McDaniel serving as pallbearers. Michael Posey will serve as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Jessmia Williams passed away Saturday morning, March 7, 2009, at Carriage House Manor. She was born in Louisiana, on August 28, 1921, the daughter of Floyd McDaniel and Clara (Wynigear) McDaniel. She married Tomie Williams in Como, on November 21, 1938. He preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. Williams was a retired cafeteria worker from S.S.I.S.D. She was a member of the League Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include: daughter, Jane Posey; three sons, Ben Williams, Tomie Williams, Jr. and Wayne Williams, all of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Cheryl Hooks, Melissa Clower, Heather Williams, Jennifer Kids, Toby Williams, Michael Posey, Eric Posey, Michelle Ingram, Angie Gamblin and Sarah Williams and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
