Jessie Lappin

Memorial services for Jessie Lappin, age 72, of Saltillo, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2008, at Grace Baptist Church, in Mt. Vernon. Rev. Daniel Ledford will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6:00 t0 8:00 p.m., at Murray-Orwosky Funeral home, on Saturday, March 22, 2008.

Mr. Lappin passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Paris Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 12, 1935, the son of Virgil Elton and Maggie Jane Cole Lappin. He married Sarah Ann Fallwell, in Durant, Oklahoma, on October 20, 1967. She survives.

Mr. Lappin was a retired welder for Flora Daniel Inc. He was a member of Grace Baptist Churh, in Mt. Vernon.

Other survivors include: three sons, Jay Lappin, of Mt. Vernon, Buddy Lappin of Sulphur Springs, and Chad Lappin of St. Augustine; a daughter, Molly Huie of Sulphur Springs; five sisters, Dorothy Stapp, Louise Stapp, Charlene Worley, Betty Howell, and Virgie Kelton, all of Bonham, TX; and grandchildren, Garrett, Levi, Jessica, Jaci, and Harlan Lappin, Courtney Pearson, Rain Pearson, Colby Dillion Clem, and Maggie and Kiley Huie.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Eldon Lappin; and five sisters, Pauline Kneedler, Virginia Lappin, Carolyn Jo Peek, Thelma Preston, and Opal Worley.
