Jeraldine Loyd

Funeral services for Jeraldine Loyd, age 91, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, February 14, 2010, with Dr. Mark Harmon and Brother B. J. Teer officiating. Interment will follow at South Liberty Cemetery, with Brandon Price, Chase Skaggs, Robbie Clower, Bruce Powell, Lance Reppond and Barry Weaver serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bobbie Colley Sunday School Class of Lake Highland Church, Hunter Powell, Trayton Powell, Tanner Henson, Darrell Dodd, Joe Price, Enrique Gordillo, W. L. Skaggs and Wayne Hass. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Jeraldine Loyd passed away Thursday morning, February 11, 2010 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Hopkins County, on July 16, 1918, the daughter of James Anderson Freeman and Katie Cleo (Garretson) Freeman. She married William A. Loyd in Hopkins County, on February 23, 1935. He preceded her in death in 1973. Mrs. Loyd was a retired seamstress at Munvies and a member of the Lake Highlands Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Wanda Skaggs and husband, W. L., of Sulphur Springs and Margie Gordillo and husband, Enrique, of Miami, Florida; grandchildren, Cindy and Darrell Dodd, Chuck and Dorothy Skaggs, Paula and Wayne Garrett, Kim Criswell and Luly and Peter Cruz; great-grandchildren, Shannon Powell, Brandon Price, Bridget Clower, Lindsey Chamness, Chase Skaggs, Ashley Reppond, Dusty Dodd, Amber Weaver, Jessica Garrett, Erica Garrett, Autumn Henson and Summer Criswell; seven great-great-grandchildren and sister, Lucille Reed of Sulphur Springs. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack White, Bill Freeman, James Freeman; four sisters, Lois McWilliams, Lola Puyear, Lorene Pogue and Annie Mae Tanton and one great-great-grandchild, Sawyer Chamness.
