A graveside service for Jean Ford, age 61, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at North Hopkins Cemetery, with Rev. Annie Wagner officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
Jean Ford passed away at her residence, Sunday, June 7, 2009. She was born in Sulphur Springs, on January 15, 1948, the daughter of Dennis Goldsmith and Vera (Foust) Goldsmith. She married Billy Ford in Sulphur Springs; he survives. Mrs. Ford was a retired seamstress, retired from Salmon Cleaners and a caregiver. She was a member of Full Gospel House of Prayer.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Nanette Ortiz of Huntsville, Michelle Moreno of Sulphur Springs and Stephanie Blanchard of Georgia; two sisters, Joyce Fouse of Goodrich and Denise Goldsmith of Sulphur Springs; three brothers, Charles Goldsmith of Waxahachie, Jackie Goldsmith of Kaufman and Billy Ray Goldsmith of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Richard Silvas, Miguel Ortiz and Frankie Ortiz. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Michael Stephens and Eugene Stephens; granddaughter, Jessica Ortiz; two brothers, Jamie Goldsmith and Bobby Goldsmith and sister, Barbara Goldsmith.
