Janey Jones

Funeral services for Janey Lawson Jones, age 66, of Seagoville, formerly of Hopkins County, will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 19, 2009, with Rev. Reuben Trussell officiating. Interment will follow at North Hopkins Cemetery, with W. R. Clayton, Jerry Willis, Kenneth Cockrum, Jimmy Don Goldsmith, Mick Petty and Billy Joe Clayton serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Jones' nephews will be serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Janey Jones passed away Monday morning, February 16, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Cooper, on February 17, 1942, the daughter of Floyd and Willie Kight Lawson. She married Roy Jones in Tira, on November 28, 1981. He preceded her in death in 2008. Mrs. Jones was the retired owner of a refrigeration business. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include: one son, Tony Titsworth and wife, Melissa, of Sulphur Springs; one daughter, Janette Sims and husband, William, of Seagoville; one sister, Wynelle Belz and husband, Clifford, of North Hopkins; two brothers, W. C. Lawson of Dallas and Floyd Lawson, Jr. of North Hopkins; grandchildren, Whitnie McCoy and husband, Randy, Samantha Sims, Cody Titsworth and Brad Sims and one great-granddaughter, JulieAnn McCoy. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Don Lawson.
