Jana Hankins

Memorial service for Jana Hankins, age 60, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 5, 2018 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 P.M. on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Ms. Hankins passed away on February 28, 2018 in Greenville, TX.

Jana was born and raised in Sulphur Springs. She grew up on her family dairy farm at Gafford’s Chapel. She was known by most from her years as a rural mail carrier. She was a great cook and had many fun times as owner of the Wills Point Sale-Barn Cafe. She loved to camp and travel with her friends. We’ll miss her great sense of humor and genuine love of life.

She is survived by her two children; Patrick Matthews and partner Jessica of New York and Hannah Tatum and husband Riley of Sulphur Springs, her stepson; Billy Hankins of Sulphur Springs, five treasured grandchildren; Lainey, Hayleigh, Callan, Trevor and Ashley, her Mother; Jean Ross of Sulphur Springs and sister; Janina Ross of Austin.

She was preceded in death by her father, Nelson Ross and sister, Gena McFadden.
