James Earnheart

Graveside services with military honors for James Earnheart, age 74 of Mt. Vernon, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Miller Grove Cemetery with Rev. C. J. Duffey officiating. There will be no formal visitation.

James passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Mission Manor Nursing Home in Mt. Vernon. He was an electrician.

He was born on December 7, 1940, the son of Raymond and Margaret Earnheart in Dallas. He married Velina Clifton, who preceded him in death in 2010. He served in the U.S. Navy and afterwards was an electrician for Briggs Weaver Company.

Survivors include daughter, Kim Lanier of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Lois Byrd, Doris Hulse and Linda White; grandchildren, Daygan Squires, Nicholas Hooten and Matthew Cooper; great-grandchildren, Natalie Hooten, Haylee Hooten and Ethan Hooten.

Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.
