Jack Hargrave

Funeral services for Jack L. Hargrave, 78, of Birthright will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Rawlinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Nelta Cemetery with Duane Skeen, Tony Coffman, Gearl Goodson, Kenneth Cannon, Russell Skeen, Randy Baker serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Blackburn, Bruce Allen Joslin, and Richard Baker. Visitation will be 7 till 9 pm, Tuesday, September 2, 2009 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Jack Leslie Hargrave passed away Monday, September 1, 2009 at his residence. He was born on July 25, 1931, in Hopkins County , TX , the son of Willis Harvey "Boots" and Mattie Ruth Collins Hargrave. He married Glenna Jo Petrea in Sulphur Springs on January 18, 1952. She survives. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and member of the Baptist faith.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Tina Lynn Howse and husband Kenneth Cannon of Birthright; one sister, LaNeva Skeen and husband, Tom C. of Nelta; grandchildren, Randy & LeAnn Hargrave, LaShonda Hill, Connie Hargrave, Summer Hargrave, James & Stephanie Howse; one step grandson, James Rickley; eight great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, one son and daughter-in-law, Jackie Joe and Jeannie Hargrave and two brothers, Alvin Audly and Willis Clifford Hargrave.
