Funeral service for Ivy Lee Renshaw, age 101, of San Marcos, Texas, will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Winterfield Baptist Church on August 5, 2017 with Rev. Troy Hollingsworth officiating and Pastor Jack Culpepper assisting. Interment will follow at Winterfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Winterfield Baptist Church. Ms. Renshaw passed away on July 31, 2017 at San Marcos Rehab and Healthcare, San Marcos, Texas.

Ivy Lee Brumley Sheer Renshaw was born May 28, 1916, to Jasper Jackson and Lula Savannah Powell Brumley, in the Winterfield Community of Hopkins County, Texas. She attended Winterfield School, and was a life-time member of Winterfield Baptist Church, something she treasured dearly. She passed away in San Marcos, Texas, July 30, 2017.
In 1933, she married Thomas Ray (Tom) Sheer; to this marriage were born two sons: Donnie Lee and Terry Von. Tom and Ivy moved to Dallas for several years; and in 1956, the family moved back to operate a dairy farm, Route 1, Pickton, Texas. Following the death of Tom Sheer in 1977, she moved to Sulphur Springs. While living there, she married Kyle Renshaw, who also preceded her in death following their 22 years of marriage. She was preceded in death also by son, Terry Von, in 1999, and by seven of her eight siblings: Dennis Brumley, Myrtle Brumley Sheer, J. T. Brumley, Willis Brumley, Vernice Brumley, Willard Brumley, and Maude Brumley Mead. One sister, Stella Ramshay survives.

On May 28, 2016, she celebrated her 100th birthday with family and friends. Her titles have included Sister, Sister-in-law, Mother, Grandma, and Great-grandma Ivy, Aunt Ivy, as well as dairy wife, food service, and seamstress.

Other survivors include son, Donnie Sheer and wife Ruth, Austin, Texas; four grandchildren, Missi Sheer West and husband Scott, Leander, Texas; Terry Ray Sheer and wife Amy, Pickton, Texas; Tommy Sheer and wife Julie, Paradise Valley, Arizona; and Jim Sheer and wife Lauren, Dripping Springs, Texas. Great grandchildren include: Sarah Bloyd and husband Shawn, Cumby, Texas; Nick Carpenter, Celeste, Texas; Emily Sheer, Irving, Texas; Madeline Sheer, Pickton, Texas; Augustus and Hayes Sheer, Paradise Valley, Arizona; and Barrett and Brady Sheer, Dripping Springs, Texas. In addition, a large number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews and families also survive Ivy Sheer Renshaw.
