Irene Turner

Irene B. Turner passed away Monday, November 24, 2008 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab. She was born September 19, 1925 in Bayard, Nebraska, the daughter of Adman and Rachel Meyers Schleiger. She married Elmer Turner on August 5, 1946 in Smith Center, KS. He preceded her in death in 1981. Irene was a switchboard operator and member of the Episcopalian faith, Eastern Star and Jolly 30's Club.
Survivors include: two daughters, Cindy Silva of Sulphur Springs, and Shelia McCormick of Redding CA ; son, Howard Turner of Pencia, CA; sister, Betty Hager of Danville, CA; three brothers, Dewayne Schleiger of Carson City, NV, Wesley Schleiger of Wildomar, CA, and Jerry Schukei of Lincoln, CA; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Private family memorial service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2008
