Irene Burgin

Funeral services for Irene Burgin, age 90, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2010, with Rev. Hoyt Scogin and Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park, with Brad Burgin, Corey Burgin, Doug Boydston, Kerry Beard, Tim Linden, Gary Williamson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mickey McKenzie, Clinton Lennon and Dr. Darren Arnecke. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Irene Burgin passed away Tuesday morning, January 19, 2010, at Carriage House Manor. She was born in the Hatchetville Community on June 30, 1919, the daughter of Radford T. Williamson and Hattie (McFadden) Williamson. She married R. C. Burgin, Sr. at Independence, Texas, on August 13, 1938. He preceded her in death in 1980. Mrs. Burgin was a retired cook for S.S.I.S.D. and she was a member of the New Sherley Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Joe Bob Burgin and wife, Linda of Sulphur Springs, R. C. Burgin and wife, Kay, of Greenville; four brothers, Exum Williamson of Richardson, Billy Williamson of Clarksville, R. T Williamson, Jr. of Grand Prairie and Glynn Williamson of Ashdown, Arkansas; sister, Winona Burgin of Texas City; grandchildren, Susan Boydston, Sharon Beard, Sheila Linden, Brad Burgin and Corey Burgin and great-grandchildren, Josh and Jeremy Boydston, Avery and Emma Beard, Jacob and Jason Linden, Bailey and Zackery Burgin, Mason, Connor and Brooks Burgin.
