Homer Dodd, Jr.

A funeral service for Homer Albert Dodd, Jr., age 88 of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel, at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2013 with Rev. Jerry McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at Rockdale Cemetery, with Rayford Dodd, Donald Dodd, Richard Dodd, Glen Dodd, Jerry Stegall and Paul Flanery serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons and Joe Dan Dodd. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Homer Albert Dodd, Jr. passed away Wednesday morning, June 5, 2013 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab. He was born in Sulphur Springs, the son of Homer Albert Dodd, Sr. and Bevie Lee Dodd. He married Nellie Jean Luttrell in Sulphur Springs on June 19, 1955; she survives. He was a retired dairyman and a member of First United Pentecostal Church.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Alice Bozeman of Pine Mills and Mary McCoy and husband James of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Laurie Bult and husband Chad,
J. D. McCoy and his wife Jennifer, Angel Crabb and Chelsea Hudson; brother, Harvey Dodd of Como; sister, Mona Carpenter of Sulphur Springs and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Lloyd Dodd, Elton Dodd, Davis Dodd, Morris Ray Dodd, J. D. Dodd and Marvin Dodd and sister, Nell Campbell.
