Graveside services for Helen Louise Smith, age 76 of Brashear will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Brashear Cemetery with Rev. David Burns officiating. Serving as pallbearers are grandsons, Kurt Willis, Brian Willis, Rickey Willis, Chad Watkins, Landon Smith and Jonathan Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Casey Stinnett, Glen George, Lloyd Chapin, Frank Hall, Pat Higginbotham, and Ray Darrell Hunter.

Visitation will be held at the Brashear Baptist Church, one hour prior to the service.

Helen Louise passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at her residence. She was born on August 25, 1938 in Whitewright the daughter of Woodrow Fox and Helen Bernice (Moore) Brand. She married Jack Adron Smith on May 30, 1956 in Brashear. She was a retired cook for Hopkins County Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Brashear Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband; son, Jimmy Smith of Brashear; daughters, Annette Stinnett and Brenda Willis, both of Brashear; sister, Mary Ann Strickland of Cumby; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
